AFN Creates Amicus Committee

The American Legal & Financial Network (AFN) has formed The Amicus Committee, a 26-member committee created to weigh in on various legal issues for the servicing industry.

According to AFN President and CEO William M. LeRoy, the committee has prepared and filed an Amicus Brief for a national servicer and is in the process of preparing and filing another brief related to a Fair Debt Collection Practices Act issue. The committee is available to review specific legal issues of concern to servicers' in-house counsel.
