The NFSTI REOMasters Network, a national group of real estate agents who sell foreclosure properties, is hosting a charity event Sept. 21 in Fort Worth, Texas, that aims to raise money and awareness for borrowers who have had their homes foreclosed.
The event, Club Tsunami, will be held at the City Streets Venue in Fort Worth, and all ticket proceeds will go to benefit the Foreclosure Angel Foundation, a not-for-profit organization.
The Foreclosure Angel Foundation was founded by Marilyn Mock, who received national media coverage after she bought a foreclosed home at auction and returned it to the former homeowner. The foundation helps borrowers pay back balances and renegotiate loans in addition to purchasing homes at auction and turning them into affordable rental properties.
NFSTI REOMasters Network CEO Scott McLaine says the goal for the event is to raise $50,000 for the Foreclosure Angel Foundation.
The Club Tsunami event includes two dance floors, as well as a cigar and scotch lounge sponsored by Fidelity National Title.
