Fannie Mae To Stop Tenant Evictions

Fannie Mae is reportedly preparing to release a new national policy that will allow tenants to remain in their homes even if their landlord enters foreclosure.

The policy would go into effect Jan. 9. According to the Wall Street Journal, Fannie Mae's decision reflects increasing pressure and threats of lawsuits from New Haven Legal Assistance, a New Haven, Conn.-based legal-aid group.
