Freddie Mac is in the process of identifying attorney firms in Florida that will take over the caseload of the Law Offices of David J. Stern PA, with which Freddie Mac has terminated its relationship.
In a bulletin Tuesday, Freddie Mac notes that it has already directed the firm to not accept any new case referrals and to temporarily stop processing Florida foreclosure and bankruptcy matters on all Freddie Mac mortgages. Servicers are not to refer any new cases to the firm.
The Law Offices of David J. Stern has also been removed from Freddie Mac's list of designated counsel.
Fannie Mae on Monday confirmed that it is in the process of retaining nine additional attorney firms in Florida.
