Freddie’s Acting CFO Found Dead Of Apparent Suicide

Kellermann, 41, was named acting CFO last September, when Freddie Mac fell under conservatorship. The government-sponsored enterprise has been conducting a public search for a permanent CFO. According to Freddie Mac's Web site, Kellerman was responsible for the company's financial controls and reporting, in addition to its annual budgeting and financial planning processes. Prior to serving as the acting CFO, Kellerman was the company's senior vice president, corporate controller and principal accounting officer. He began with Freddie Mac as a financial analyst/auditor in 1992 and subsequently took on roles in the company's securities sales and trading unit, and capital markets division.
