Lancaster, N.Y.-based Ecology and Environment Inc. (E&E) has hired Rebecca L. Flora as sustainable communities practice leader.
Flora is a leader in the green building and sustainable communities movements. She was chairwoman of the U.S. Green Building Council's (USGBC) board of directors in 2008 and was later the USGBC's senior vice president of education and research. She was a founding member of the core committee that established the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design for Neighborhood Development rating system and an adjunct professor at Carnegie Mellon University's Heinz College.Â
