Agoura Hills, Calif.-based Interthinx has launched a joint endeavor with the MRG Document Technologies group at the law firm Middleberg Riddle & Gianna to offer an attorney-backed compliance service aimed at helping financial institutions meet new legal and regulatory compliance requirements.
According to Interthinx, the new service will provide independent file reviews and expert loan file analysis to help protect mortgage lenders from common compliance mistakes. Together, Interthinx adds, the two firms can provide detailed compliance reviews without the need for system integration.
‘In this new environment, lenders are faced with increased compliance demands with less margin for error,’ says Roger Fendelman, vice president of compliance for Interthinx. ‘Most originators do not have sufficient in-house staff or expertise to address these issues.’
