Lender Processing Services Inc. (LPS) has appointed Hugh R. Harris president and CEO.
Harris, who will also serve as a member of LPS' board of directors, takes the reins from interim CEO Lee Kennedy. Kennedy was named to the position in July after then-CEO Jeffrey S Carbiener, citing health concerns, announced his resignation.
Harris formerly served as president of the Financial Services Technology division at Fidelity National Financial and Fidelity National Information Services, prior to the latter company's spin-off of LPS.
Before joining Fidelity National Financial, Harris was president and CEO of HomeSide Lending Inc. He has also served as president of Mortgage Corporation of the South and as vice chairman of BancBoston Mortgage Corp.
