The Neighborhood Assistance Corporation of America (NACA) has set up operations at Florida's Palm Beach County Convention Center for its first-ever round-the-clock marathon of same-day loan modifications.
The free event, dubbed the Mortgage Save-a-Thon, began on Feb. 25 and runs through Mar. 1. NACA has over 500 staff and volunteers at the convention center, as well as offsite staff who will provide loan modification assistance to homeowners. This stop is part of NACA's ongoing Save-a-Thon tour that has already brought financial counseling and servicing outreach to homeowners at special events in 12 cities.
According to NACA, its previous Save-a-Thon events helped thousands of homeowners receive same-day solutions, ranging from reductions of outstanding principal to permanent cuts on interest rates.
