The National Association of Federal Credit Unions (NAFCU) is preparing credit unions to meet Home Mortgage Disclosure Activity (HMDA) reporting requirements that recently went into effect.
The association is holding a webcast on the topic on Dec. 2 from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. EST. The webcast will detail the new HMDA rules for reporting price information on higher-priced loans, address prevalent problems in HMDA reporting and offer guidance on how to handle reporting errors and potential liability.
Additionally, the webcast will explore the 2008 HMDA data, including the lending trends it illustrates and how regulators are interpreting the data, NAFCU says.
NAFCU members and nonmembers can call (800) 344-5580 to register or visit www.nafcu.org/hmda for more information. The deadline for early registration savings is Nov. 25.
