Calyx Software has released Point 7.1, which contains several upgrades to functionality designed to facilitate mortgage loan processing in various areas. The new release addresses two federal requirements and includes a modified Truth in Lending form with recommendations specified by recent Truth in Lending Act amendments.
Other new features include the ability to populate Forms 4506/4506-T within a Point screen and print them out complete with other forms needed during the application process. This feature, which enables a larger, bolder font for mandated fields, will reduce the number of requests denied by the IRS due to illegible forms, Calyx says.
The system's Direct Connect title/escrow screens also feature enhanced customization to the interface.
"The 7.1 upgrade is necessary primarily because of the latest federal requirements, but the bonus forms and improved functionality really contribute to its appeal," says Doug Chang, president of Calyx Software.
