Ocwen Eligible To Receive $659M Under MHA

Financial Corp., a subprime servicer based in West Palm Beach, Fla., has officially been added to the U.S. Treasury Department's list of servicers eligible to receive incentives under Making Home Affordable (MHA), the [u][link=http://www.forbes.com/feeds/ap/2009/04/21/ap6316061.html ]Associated Press[/link][/u] reports. Ocwen previously announced that it had begun executing MHA loan modifications, but when the Treasury first unveiled participating servicers, Ocwen was noticeably absent. The company stands to receive up to $659 million in incentives. The company's contact information for consumers has been added to the administration's MHA Web site. Also recently added to the list were Countrywide Home Loans Servicing LP (Bank of America announced its formal inclusion in the program yesterday), Home Loan Services Inc.
