Online Courses Cover SAFE Act Education

Kansas City, Mo.-based Smart Grasshopper Learning and Professional Development, in partnership with the Association of Mortgage Educators, is now offering eight hours of continuing education (CE) courses online for mortgage loan originators.

According to the companies, the courses will provide originators with the CE courses they need to maintain their licenses and meet the Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act (SAFE Act). The SAFE Act requires eight hours of CE annually: three hours of federal law and regulations, two hours ethics, two hours of lending standards for nontraditional loans, and one hour of elective credit.

‘These courses are developed by seasoned industry experts and experienced instructional designers, and the courses are fully approved by the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System,’ says Tracy Blasdel, president of Smart Grasshopper.
