Wingspan Portfolio Advisors recently hired industry veteran John Guy to its newly created position of senior vice president of business development.

Guy brings 24 years of banking and finance experience to Wingspan, most recently as managing director of business development for Auction.com.

Guy has worked as an executive in servicing, secondary marketing and securitization, as well as in the origination side of the business. He entered the industry with Bank of America, later spent seven years with Ocwen, and subsequently held senior business development and portfolio acquisition roles with several investment corporations including Fortress Investment Group, Security National and Mission Capital.

Guy is based in Florida and reports to Susan Pettem, the company’s new executive vice president for business development. He is responsible for generating business across Wingspan’s entire line, including component services outsourcing, and will work with clients across the U.S. as Wingspan continues its expansion program.

Wingspan also recently named Arleen Scavone to the newly created position of chief operations officer (COO).

Scavone brings 30 years’ experience to her role as COO and will be responsible for the large client operations of the growing company.

Prior to joining Wingspan, Scavone was founder and remains president of OpExNow, a process improvement and management consultancy serving lenders and servicers. Her clients include Bank of America, Morgan Stanley/Saxon Mortgage, Wells Fargo Mortgage, Redwood Trust, Stonegate Mortgage, LPS and Wingspan, among others.

Before founding OpExNow in 2009, she worked in senior management positions for several institutions, including 10 years at Washington Mutual, where she served as senior vice president and national operations manager, and later as senior vice president and national sales manager for the retail bank channel.

Scavone started in the business as a loan processor with the Weyerhaeuser Mortgage unit of building giant Pardee Homes in 1979, where she spent 11 years, rising to vice president and regional sales manager.

The company also recently announced the hiring of Aaron Luburich to fill the newly created position of senior vice president for business development.

Luburich is an expert in all aspects of default servicing and has 14 years of experience in the mortgage space. Previously, he worked for global consulting firm Accenture, where he was vice president for mortgage business process outsourcing and the North American lead for default services. Prior to Accenture, Luburich was national production manager for consumer direct lending at MetLife Bank and a senior manager at Saxon Mortgage in servicing and default management. He started his mortgage career on the lending side with Homecomings Financial after attending the University of Texas.

In his new role, Luburich will be responsible for developing new and existing client relationships as Wingspan continues to expand the scope of its offerings. He will also report to Pettem.


WNC Insurance Services

Andy Williams is rejoining WNC Insurance Services Inc. as senior vice president of business development.

Williams first worked for WNC from 1992 to 1997 - and then spent 15 years with First American and CoreLogic in a multitude of client-facing positions covering origination, servicing and default.

Founded in 1962, WNC provides lender-placed hazard, flood, wind, REO and specialty insurance services to the mortgage banking industry.



RealtyTrac has hired real estate and technology specialist Samantha Tino as vice president of sales for the RealtyTrac Network.

According to the company, she brings more than 15 years of real estate and sales experience, with knowledge in modern web technologies.

In this role, Tino will spearhead the continued expansion of RealtyTrac’s licensed broker network. She will work with the RealtyTrac Network team to grow the number of network members by targeting the top brokerages in real estate markets throughout the country.

Tino has spent the past nine years working at Lone Wolf Real Estate Technologies. She most recently served as vice president of sales for the company.

Prior to joining Lone Wolf Real Estate Technologies, Tino was director of regional sales for the western U.S. at Delta Media Group, a technology marketing and business management company for real estate, where she was responsible for the growth and sales of online real estate technology. She also previously worked as director of marketing for The Hasson Co.


Mortgage Contracting

Robert Colbeck has been promoted to chief technology officer at Mortgage Contracting Services (MCS), a nationwide provider of property preservation, inspections and REO property maintenance to the financial services industry.

Colbeck, who works out of MCS’ Tampa, Fla., operations center, has been with the company since 2004. He has more than 18 years of information technology experience and is one of the original architects of MCS360, the company’s Web-based technology portal designed to meet the industry’s need for multi-tier communications software and real-time delivery of work order results.

In addition to leading the company’s software development team, Colbeck also oversees multiple MCS sites and data centers, allowing the company to achieve true data-redundancy and disaster-recovery capabilities for clients. In his new position, he will supervise all strategic technology initiatives and enhancements to help MCS remain on the technological forefront of the field services industry.

Prior to joining MCS, Colbeck worked as a consultant for Franklin Templeton Investments, where he served as lead developer on the company’s application development team. He also supported business and systems analysis and design, database design, and administration initiatives. Prior to working for Franklin Templeton Investments, he held similar roles for GTE, Tech Data Corp., DIMAC Direct Inc. and LeGrand Computer Services.s
