The head of the nation's fourth-largest public housing authority is facing foreclosure.
The Philadelphia Inquirer reports that Carl R. Greene, executive director of the Philadelphia Housing Authority, has received a foreclosure notice on his $615,000, three-bedroom, 2,100 square-foot condominium. Wells Fargo filed a foreclosure lawsuit on July 27, stating that $386,685.22 was in dispute.
As part of the foreclosure proceedings, Greene will need to participate in the municipal mortgage foreclosure program. A spokesperson for Greene's office said that ‘people will find it hard to understand how he could be involved in a possible foreclosure proceeding on his home, but he would prefer not to say more about it at this time.’
