Safeguard’s Vendor Conference Draws Record Crowd

The Safeguard Properties Sixth Annual Vendor Conference, held in Cleveland Aug. 16-19, drew a record attendance of 1,200 contractors, inspectors, city officials, clients and investors, the company reports.

To celebrate the milestone, Safeguard's founder and CEO, Robert Klein, announced an additional donation of $43,550 to the Cuyahoga County Foreclosure Prevention Program. In 2008, Safeguard made a three-year $150,000 grant to the program, which helps homeowners in Greater Cleveland avoid foreclosure.

The conference was initiated in 2004 to provide a forum for contractors and clients to share their perspectives and suggest new ideas to improve efficiencies and the quality of field services.

"Every year, there are new challenges, new regulations and new and better ways of doing things," Klein says. "The fact that the conference has grown every year, passing a 1,000-attendee milestone and reaching 1,200, is proof that the concept works."
