Senate Passes Dodd-Frank Bill In 60-39 Vote

nate voted 60-39 to pass the 2,300-page Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform bill. All but one of the Senate's 58 Democrats supported the bill. Wisconsin's Sen. Russ Feingold was the sole Democrat who opposed the bill, stating that it did not go far enough in addressing regulatory control. Three Republicans – Scott Brown of Massachusetts and Olympia Snow and Susan Collins – joined the majority supporting the legislation. The House of Representatives previously passed the bill by a 237-192 vote. The legislation will now go to President Obama for his signature.
