SF Fed Research Studies Loan Mods Among Minority, White Borrowers

The results of a new study released by the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco suggest that there is no evidence concluding that minority borrowers in California, Oregon and Washington are less likely to receive a loan modification or a less aggressive loan modification than white borrowers receive.

The study also finds that modifications reduce the likelihood of subsequent default, particularly for minority borrowers.
