Zillow: Snooki Is Still Not Welcome As A Neighbor

Zillow: Snooki Is Still Not Welcome As A Neighbor For the second consecutive year, Snooki and her raucous housemates on MTV's ‘Jersey Shore’ were voted the least desirable celebrity neighbors in the fifth annual Zillow Celebrity Neighbor Survey. And while Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow topped the list of most desirable celebrity neighbor, 42% of adults surveyed by Zillow claimed that they don't want famous folks living next door.

In a national survey of 1,007 adults, the ‘Jersey Shore’ gang dominated the worst celebrity neighbor category with a 28% rating, up 2% from last year's survey. Following them in the worst celebrity neighbor category were the scandal-prone actors Charlie Sheen (21%) and Lindsay Lohan (14%), reality TV star Kim Kardashian (13%), TV legal commentator Nancy Grace (3%), A-list couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie (3%) and former congressman Anthony Weiner (2%).

On the other side of the fence, the prayerful football star Tebow led the most desirable celebrity neighbor category with an 11% vote, outrunning Pitt and Jolie at 10%. Following in the category was Pitt's ex-wife, Jennifer Aniston, and her actor-director boyfriend Justin Theroux at 9%, actress/singer Jennifer Lopez at 6%, music superstars Beyonce and Jay-Z at 5%, and Nancy Grace and Kim Kardashian tied at 4%.

Meanwhile, 42% of those surveyed by Zillow claimed they did not want to live next to any celebrities, up from 27% last year. Amy Bohutinsky, chief marketing officer at Zillow, saw that uptick as a sign of the times.

‘As a voyeuristic culture that breathlessly tracks every celebrity movement, it's extremely surprising to see so many Americans saying they wouldn't like to live next to any celebrity at all,’ says Bohutinsky. ‘In fact, more people opted out of a celebrity neighbor in 2012 than in any of the past years we've run this poll. We may want to watch, read and talk about celebrities, but when it comes to sharing a back fence, many Americans think it's just too close for comfort.’
