Rep. Jeb Hensarling, R-Texas, the chairman-elect of the House Financial Services Committee, has announced the committee's Republican leadership for the 113th Congress.
California Rep. Gary Miller will serve as vice chairman of the committee, and Georgia Rep. Lynn Westmoreland has been appointed to the newly created position of committee whip.
Hensarling also named the leaders of the subcommittees within the House Financial Services Committee. Texas Rep. Randy Neugebauer will serve as chairman of the Insurance, Housing and Community Opportunity Subcommittee; West Virginia Rep. Shelley Moore Capito will serve as chairwoman of the Financial Institutions and Consumer Credit Subcommittee; New Jersey Rep. Scott Garrett will serve as chairman of the Capital Markets and Government-Sponsored Enterprises Subcommittee; North Carolina Rep. Patrick McHenry will serve as chairman of the Oversight and Investigations Subcommittee; and California Rep. John Campbell will serve as chairman of the Domestic and International Monetary Policy Subcommittee.
Campbell's panel is a merger of two subcommittees, the Domestic Monetary Policy and Technology Subcommittee and the International Monetary Policy and Trade Subcommittee.
