Auction.com, an online real estate marketplace, has named former LinkedIn and Yahoo! engineer Lawrence Yuan senior director of engineering. In this position, Yuan will oversee the development of Web and mobile applications that enhance how buyers, sellers and real estate professionals access and interact with the Auction.com platform.
A 17-year tech industry veteran, Yuan spent the last four years leading various engineering teams within LinkedIn – including those responsible for the LinkedIn homepage, the newsfeed, and the notification and email products. He is also a leading developer of products that help top tech companies – including previous employers LinkedIn and Yahoo!, as well as Cisco-owned IronPort Systems – to mine and utilize data to efficiently connect with Web and mobile audiences.
