Online real estate marketplace Auction.com has named Sharmila Patel to the newly created position of senior vice president (SVP) of commercial real estate (CRE) finance and operations.
According to the company, Patel will focus on maintaining the alignment between the strategic and operational sides of Auction.com's CRE business.
Patel is an industry veteran with more than 20 years of financial leadership and executive experience, including financial, healthcare and technology services.
Previously, she served as SVP of finance for Inform Media Group, a division of IAC. Patel also held the vice president of global technology finance role at Yahoo!, where she developed long-term financial planning and forecasting for three years.
