Geoff Bastow recently joined mortgage technology provider Blueberry Systems as chief technology officer (CTO).
Bastow began his career in the financial services industry as a senior software engineer for Metavante (now FIS) in 1990 before leaving to launch Tushaus Computer Services, a technical services firm that went on to be named to the Inc. 500. He co-founded Doral Systems Corp., which became Doral USA, a two-time Inc. 500 member.
In 2001, Bastow was integral in the acquisition of Mortgagebot from Marshal & Ilsley Corp., after which he became a principal and founding CTO. Under his leadership, Mortgagebot delivered numerous award-winning innovations, including the first online real-time mortgage approval with guaranteed rate, points and closing costs, as well as the first fully configurable software-as-a-service application, origination and approval platform.
Bastow, a serial technology entrepreneur, also founded Thin Air Software, Credit Coach and SoloMortgage.
In his new role, Bastow will spearhead software architecture and product development, as well as the integration of market needs, best practices and overall user experience.
