Miguel J. Gutierrez, a 23-year industry veteran, has joined the team at Rockville, Md.-based CAPREIT, a real estate operating company that owns and manages more than $5 billion in multifamily assets, as chief operating officer.
In this newly creation position, Gutierrez will develop and implement the company's business strategy and provide operational leadership for the business.
Over the past 20 years, Gutierrez served in numerous leadership positions for prominent real estate companies, such as Fannie Mae, Starwood Capital and Crescent Heights. Most recently, Gutierrez established and maintained the nation's first large-scale portfolio to boast more than 25,000 Fannie Mae homes.
