The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) has served subpoenas against four major mortgage insurance companies.
According to an Associated Press report, subpoenas were served last week to American International Group Inc., MGIC Investment Corp., Genworth Financial Inc. and Radian Group Inc. The companies were asked to produce documents and answers to questions concerning captive mortgage reinsurance deals.
The companies did not publicly respond to the subpoenas and the CFPB did not issue a press announcement on its actions.
