National Fifty Financial, a commercial real estate lending firm based in Tampa, Fla., has selected for the city of Charlotte, N.C., as the site for its corporate office.
The firm notes that commercial lending in the Charlotte area has been affected recently by two city-based banks' announcements of layoffs that are expected to be in the thousands. A press release announcing National Fifty's selection of Charlotte says company management has "run into a collection of exceptionally qualified and talented individuals for the new office."
The release further notes that the firm will be well positioned, given the expected injection from the city of over $8 billion for commercial development through 2010.
