Lender Processing Services Inc. (LPS) says its Aptitude Solutions division has signed contracts with the clerk and recorder for Douglas County, Colo., to provide a software solution to further automate and streamline land recording and indexing.
OnCore, Aptitude Solutions' recording and indexing software platform, enables county governments of all sizes to reduce internal paperwork and manage workflow by digitizing documents, then routing and indexing document images electronically, rather than through traditional, paper-driven processes, LPS notes.
OnCore's features include electronic recording, automatic document queuing, electronic digital stamping, historic image back posting, full accounting functionality and more. The platform's flexible capabilities offer scalability to meet the unique business needs of any size county government, the company adds.
After completing a request for proposal process, Douglas County selected Aptitude Solutions' OnCore platform and will become the 11th county in Colorado to implement OnCore for electronic land records indexing and recording.
‘After reviewing several systems, Douglas County selected Aptitude Solutions' OnCore platform as the best system to fulfill our business requirements for recording,’ says Douglas County Clerk and Recorder Jack Arrowsmith. ‘With this solution, we will be able to handle high-volume recording, increase automation and provide detailed audit checks.’
The clerk and recorder's office also plans to implement OnCore's Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology to automatically index documents as they are recorded. In addition, Douglas County has contracted to use the same OCR technology to capture redaction candidates as documents are recorded.
