Although several prominent members of President Obama's cabinet have announced plans not to continue in their jobs during the administration's second term, the president's housing chief has decided to stick around for another four years.
Reuters reports that U.S. Housing and Urban Development Secretary Shaun Donovan will continue to serve in the president's second term. Donovan, who was previously New York City's housing commissioner before joining the administration, had not provided any inkling that he was not interested in remaining in his job.
Donovan's department did not issue a formal statement on his plans to remain with the administration.
