Ron Chillemi has joined non-bank HELOC provider Figure Technology Solutions as its first chief legal officer and corporate secretary, where he will oversee the company’s legal and compliance functions.
Chillemi has more than 25 years of regulatory affairs, government relations, and compliance experience in fintech, at top law firms, and as a federal and state prosecutor. He has an exceptional track record overseeing robust legal and compliance functions and helping to shape important state and federal legislative frameworks.
Most recently, Chillemi served as general counsel at Aven, which offers secured lending products, and before that as deputy general counsel at Better, a mortgage lender.
Earlier in his career, Ron spent 17 years as a prosecutor at three different levels of government.
This builds on Figure’s ability to attract top-tier talent, following the appointment of Michael Tannenbaum as CEO in April, and the continued growth and expansion of the company’s proprietary technology platform, including the launch of Figure’s private credit loan marketplace, Figure Connect, and the release of Figure’s AI-powered chatbot.
