The Mortgage Press Ltd., the publisher of official publications for the state affiliates of the National Association of Mortgage Brokers, has created FindMortgageJobs.com, a Web site with 60-day job postings for all mortgage professionals nationwide.
‘According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the mortgage industry has lost 79,000 jobs since its peak in February of 2007,’ says Andrew T. Berman, executive vice president of The Mortgage Press. ‘These displaced mortgage professionals are looking for new and niche opportunities that are available for them. Everything from FHA underwriting jobs, to branch manager programs, to reverse mortgage originators and more will be available through this site.’
The Mortgage Press says one of the primary goals for FindMortgageJobs.com is to help find employment for thousands of former employees of bankrupt or significantly downsized mortgage wholesale lenders, such as Aegis Wholesale, American Home Mortgage, Aurora Loan Services, Decision One, Delta Funding Corp., First Magnus, First NLC Financial Services, Fremont Investment & Loan and New Century Mortgage, among others.
Job seekers will have access to employment search tools, job alerts, cover letters, anonymous resume postings and more. Employers will receive job posting and resume searching tools through the site, including access to active and passive job candidates.
