First Community Mortgage (FCM) reports that it added 25 people to its consumer direct division in Cleveland, Ohio, in 2017.
A wholly owned subsidiary of First Community Bank of Tennessee, FCM has operations centers based in Nashville, Louisville, Columbus and Kansas City and is supported by retail branches and wholesale and correspondent relationships throughout the eastern half of the U.S.
Among the new hires for 2017 is Jay Slone, who serves as vice president of the consumer direct division. A Cleveland-area native, Sloan has more than 15 years of mortgage lending experience.
“We continue to see more evidence that, despite all the technological advances that have occurred in the last 20 years, customers still want human communication,” Sloan says in a release. “Our Human Mortgage approach embraces the transparent, up front and honest communication that our clients want.”
Garett Boham also joined the company as processing manager, overseeing the local operations team. His creativity and leadership has built a best-in-class sales support team, achieving turn times considerably better than industry averages, the company says.
In addition, FCM added Mike Mastrangelo, Larry Weir and Matthew Sheffey to its sales team in the Cleveland market in 2017.
“To us, a mortgage loan is more than a financial transaction – it’s personal,” Sheffey says in the release. “We were all born and raised in the Cleveland area and are very passionate about helping our fellow Clevelanders make great financial choices.”
First Community Mortgage is a participating lender with the Ohio Housing Finance Agency.
