Pat Downing has joined FirstClose, a provider of mortgage technology solutions with a focus on mortgage settlement services, as chief technical officer (CTO).
Downing has 20 years of experience in technology operations, infrastructure, development and customer support. He is skilled in overseeing IT operations, customer success and software engineering, and customer support services.
In addition, he is accomplished in global team building, budget creation and management, technology and business process improvement, and technology-to-business goal alignment.
Previously, Downing worked as chief technology officer for Austin, Texas-based Mozido, a global mobile financial services company.
In his new role with FirstClose, Downing will be responsible for overseeing the development of all technical efforts at the company.
FirstClose, which has been growing as of late, made news in September when it announced that it had received a multi-million dollar infusion of capital from Dallas-based Cypress Growth Capital, a royalty-based growth capital investor.
The company says it will use the money to build resources in order to meet the growing demand for its FirstClose Report, which combines title, flood, valuation and other important data elements in a single report
