Dallas-based GenEquity Mortgage has appointed William Clopton the company's new vice president of mortgage operations.
Clopton, a 30-year mortgage banking veteran, will expand and manage GenEquity's retail and existing relocation lending platform and will be responsible for the company's processing, underwriting, closing, appraisal and delivery functions.
Previously, Clopton was a senior vice president of national operations for Gateway Mortgage Group, where he directed the fulfillment activities for both the retail and correspondent channels nationally.
GenEquity has also named Stephen Crispin vice president of secondary marketing.
Previously, Crispin was the manager of real estate services at Paragon Relocation and then director of mortgage at GenEquity, as Paragon's sister company. Most recently, he served as vice president of mortgage operations.
In this role, Crispin will be responsible for the day-to-day pricing and lock policy, margin management, investor relations and product development and, further, will assist with warehouse line management.
