HomEq Servicing, a full-service loan servicing company for subprime lenders, has joined other members of the financial, mortgage, insurance and nonprofit sectors in a partnership with NeighborWorks America.
The NeighborWorks America partnership recently launched a foreclosure prevention advertising campaign with the Ad Council. The effort seeks to decrease foreclosures by directing borrowers to call a dedicated toll-free number, where they receive experienced counseling and are connected, as appropriate, with their lenders or local NeighborWorks organizations.
The campaign focuses on reaching the population of homeowners (currently estimated at above 50%) who do not contact their lenders/servicers prior to foreclosure, NeighborWorks America adds.
