Ken P. Wilson, past president and former chair of the policymaking board of directors of the Appraisal Institute (AI), has joined real estate appraisal services firm Joseph J. Blake & Associates Inc. as managing director of client relations and business development.
Wilson has more than 30 years of real estate appraisal and consulting experience. Previously, he ran his own valuation and consulting services firm, Wilson Realty Advisors, which he founded in Dallas in 1989. Prior to that, he was a senior appraiser and consultant with Marvin F. Poer and Co. Real Estate Appraisal Services and Coldwell Banker Real Estate Appraisal Services (now CBRE).
Throughout his career, Wilson has specialized in the valuation, appraisal review and consultation of commercial, industrial, special purpose and investment grade, income producing real estate. He possesses extensive experience in residual valuation and risk management in the insurance and financial industries and is skilled at risk analysis/underwriting as it relates to structured finance products, Blake says in a press release.
In his new role, Wilson will lead the firm’s U.S. and international business development efforts.
