John Lammle has joined the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) as associate vice president of commercial real estate finance.
Lammle has held ascending roles at the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), most recently serving as complex financial institution policy specialist.
Prior to the FDIC, he served as the economic development and public policy manager at Amazon.
Before that he was a staff assistant for then-Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid.
He was the recipient of a 2023 FDIC Chairmans Award and was recognized by the FDIC several times for his achievements.
His areas of expertise and skills include policy and financial analysis, the Dodd-Frank Act, and bank resolution and planning.
In his new role with the MBA, Lammle will help lead and execute MBA’s advocacy activities and initiatives supporting its commercial and multifamily members.
“John’s extensive knowledge and experience, including on regulatory and legislative issues pertaining to banking and commercial real estate, will make him an incredible addition to MBA and an asset for our CREF members,” says Jamie Woodwell, senior vice president of commercial/multifamily policy and strategic industry engagement for then MBA, in a release. “We’re excited to have him join the team.”
