Richmond, Va.-based Genworth Financial Inc. has selected Thomas J. McInerney to become president and CEO, effective Jan. 1. He also will be elected to the Genworth board of directors.
McInerney was most recently an advisor to The Boston Consulting Group. Before that, he was chief operating officer and a member of the management board for insurance at ING. He also previously served as CEO of ING Americas and president of Aetna Financial Services.
