Joanna Shelton has joined Mid America Mortgage Inc. as compliance manager.
In addition, Shelton will oversee compliance for Mid America's sister company Mortgage Machine Service and its flagship loan origination system (LOS), Mortgage Machine.
Shelton has more than 19 years of compliance expertise. Previously, she worked for LOS provider Calyx Software, where she served as implementation manager and business analyst, responsible for ensuring clients remained compliant after deploying Calyx's Path LOS.
Shelton began her career in the auto finance industry and made the transition to real estate finance in 2004 when she joined Dallas/Ft. Worth-based lender 4Trust Mortgage.
Shelton received a certificate in lending compliance from the American Bankers Association in 2014 and was certified through AllRegs' School of Mortgage Compliance in 2011.
