The best way to sell more mortgage insurance is to make it as easy as possible to buy it – and, very often, technology is the solution.
As such, mortgage insurer National Mortgage Insurance Corp. (National MI), a subsidiary of NMI Holdings Inc., has launched a new mobile application and website geared for credit unions that makes it simpler and faster to select and buy mortgage insurance.
The mobile application enables users to run rate scenarios, view credit union-specific bulletins and easily contact National MI personnel.
Meanwhile, the new website features National MI's easy-to-use Online CU Rate Finder.
‘Credit unions represent an important segment of our customer base,’ says Pete Pannes, executive vice president and chief sales officer with National MI, in a release. ‘We believe our new mobile app created specifically for credit unions, along with the industry-leading rate finder on our website, makes it simple for credit unions to do business with National MI.’
National MI officials say they believe this is the first mobile application for mortgage insurance designed specifically with credit unions in mind.
Mark Antonioli, senior vice president, chief credit officer with Meriwest Credit Union, one of National MI's customers, says the new mobile application, including the comparison feature and the rate finder, ‘makes it easier than ever to help our members with their purchase mortgage or refinance needs.’
As National MI points out in its press release, the new mobile application and website also make it easier for credit unions to deliver superior service to their members, which, in turn, helps drive loyalty.
