Minneapolis-based commercial real estate mortgage banking firm NorthMarq Capital has acquired the 21-year-old firm Crouse & Associates, based in Raleigh, N.C. In the past five years, Crouse & Associates has produced more than $1 billion in financing transactions, serving a growing client base primarily in the Carolinas.

The Crouse team is headed by Todd Crouse, who joined his father, Dick Crouse, in the business in 1996 after an eight-year stint at KPMG Peat Marwick in Charlotte. Dick Crouse has retired. Other leaders in the company include Ken Carmack and Brett Mason, producers, and Michael Armstrong and Joe Hollmeyer, analysts.

‘The Crouse team will complement our already strong presence in Charlotte, North Carolina,’ says Tim O'Connor, NorthMarq's executive vice president and regional manager. ‘Crouse brings an exceptionally strong track record of production to our team, and together we should become a dominant force in the area.’
