Erik Knight has joined Plaza Home Mortgage, a wholesale and correspondent mortgage lender, as senior vice president, risk management and compliance.
Knight has more than 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. He was previously with NewRez, where he was vice president of operational risk and compliance.
Over the course of his career, Knight has been responsible for processing and operations management at Ally Bank/GMAC Mortgage, leading a REO and asset management team at Keystone Asset Management and overseeing an operations team at Lehman Brothers/BNC Mortgage.
“In addition to his strong risk and compliance skill set, Erik brings a deep understanding and appreciation of client service, training and operations,” says Michael Fontaine, co-president and chief operating officer at Plaza Home Mortgage, in a release. “We believe he’ll help us reduce our overall risk profile while supporting Plaza’s client-first focus.”
