Roostify's online platform for simplifying the mortgage application process is now integrated with Fannie Mae's Desktop Underwriter (DU) automated underwriting system.
The integration means lenders using Roostify's automated mortgage transaction software can be assured of a speedy and reliable handoff of borrower data between Roostify's online platform and Fannie Mae's DU.
In a release, Roostify says the integration will result in ‘pristine’ transfer of mortgage application data directly into DU for pre-approval.
As such, underwriters will be able to able to more quickly identify and resolve any discrepancies in borrower data that could result in loan defects further downstream in the mortgage origination process. In addition, the integration will streamline and speed the application and approval process.
‘We are excited to work with innovative companies like Roostify to improve the integrity and efficiency of mortgage originations,’ says Stephen Pawlowski, Fannie Mae's senior vice president of strategic innovations, business and technology, in the release.
‘This integration with Fannie Mae is a huge step forward for Roostify in providing our customers with even more tools to streamline the loan process and ultimately create an unparalleled customer experience for borrowers,’ says Rajesh Bhat, CEO of Roostify. ‘Providing the consumer with unprecedented access to, and control over, the origination process is a major leap toward achieving our vision of a fully digitized home purchase experience.’
In February, it was revealed that Miramar Federal Credit Union, a full-service credit union that caters to the military, was using Roostify's online solution to simplify the mortgage application process for its members.
