Ranieri Real Estate Partners LP (RREP), a New York-based real estate financial services company, has established two new advisory services groups: Ranieri Real Estate Advisors (RREA) and Ranieri Situs Solutions.
As part of the initiative, RREP also announced that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Occom Capital Partners LLC, a boutique real estate investment banking and advisory firm based in New York and Portland, Maine. Terms were not disclosed.
Following completion of the acquisition, which is expected in the first quarter of 2012 upon receipt of certain regulatory approvals, Occom's investment banking capabilities, including institutional capital raising, mergers and acquisitions advisory, and strategic planning, will become part of RREA. Michael D. Coster, managing principal at Occom, will become president of RREA, reporting to Jon Vaccaro, co-founder and CEO of RREP.
