Savills LLC, a New York-based commercial real estate investment banking firm, has launched a distressed real estate division.
The unit offers a full range of restructuring and bankruptcy advisory services, including creditor and debtor advisory services, restructuring advisory services representing lenders or borrowers, bankruptcy avoidance strategies, and valuation, structuring and strategic planning.
The team will also execute a full spectrum of note sales, including performing notes, nonperforming notes and subperforming notes. It will be led by R. John Wilcox II, senior vice president; Fredric J. Leffel, senior vice president; and Jeffrey W. Baker, executive managing director.
