SEC Names Co-Directors For Enforcement Division The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has named Acting Director George Canellos and former federal prosecutor Andrew Ceresney co-directors of the Division of Enforcement.

Canellos (pictured top left) has been serving as acting director since January and previously had been the division's deputy director since June 2012. Prior to that, he served as director of the SEC's New York Regional Office.

Cereseny (pictured bottom left) previously served as a deputy chief appellate attorney in the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York, where he was a member of the Securities and Commodities Fraud Task Force and the Major Crimes Unit. Most recently, Ceresney served as a partner in the law firm Debevoise & Plimpton LLP; Mary Jo White, the new chairwoman of the SEC, was also a partner at the same firm.
