Sharon Matthews, president and CEO of mortgage compliance technology firm eLynx, has been appointed to the board of directors of the Mortgage Industry Standards Maintenance Organization (MISMO), which develops technology standards for the mortgage industry.
eLynx is an advocate for the adoption of industry standards and is the only vendor certified as MISMO compliant with respect to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau’s new TILA RESPA Integrated Disclosure rules. The company is also MISMO compliant with regard to information exchange.
eLynx fully supports other complementary industry standards, such as the government-sponsored enterprises’ Uniform Loan Delivery Dataset and the Uniform Closing Dataset.
“I am delighted to be joining the MISMO board,” Matthews says in a release. “It will be an honor to work with such a highly regarded and influential group of leaders and visionaries. I look forward to helping in the evolution and growth of MISMO standards for our industry.”
“eLynx has been a strong champion of mortgage technology standards and has demonstrated its support through early adoption of and certification of MISMO standards,” adds Mike Fratantoni, chief economist and senior vice president of research and industry technology for the Mortgage Bankers Association, as well as MISMO president. “I could not be happier to be welcoming Sharon to the MISMO board.”
