Video is seeing increased application in the mortgage process. One area where that has already happened in a big way is the e-notary process. Using video conferencing, e-notary solution providers are allowing notaries to notarize documents without ever having to leave their offices.
One such firm is U&OB Notary Services, which serves as a one-stop-shop for mortgage closings, document witnessing, courier services and general notary requests, with signing services available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Recently, SIGNiX, a provider of e-mortgage solutions, announced that it has integrated its platform with U&OB Notary Services, thus giving lenders using SIGNiX’s platform the ability to wow their customers with a mostly – if not fully – electronic mortgage process.
The new partnership between the two companies means lenders using SIGNiX’s platform now have an even greater choice of e-notary services providers to choose from.
U&OB uses a network of Virginia notaries because in Virginia, public notaries are permitted by law to perform remote electronic notarizations for anyone in the world using e-signatures and recordable audio/video technology, SIGNiX says in a release.
