Denmar J. Dixon has been appointed CEO and president of Tampa, Fla.-based Walter Investment Management Corp. by the company's board of investors following current CEO Mark J. O'Brien's retirement, effective Oct. 10.
O'Brien will maintain his position as chairman of the board of directors for the rest of the year and will serve as a director thereafter.
‘We respect Mark's decision to retire and are grateful for his service and leadership during the significant growth and transformation of Walter Investment over the last six years,’ says Mike Tokarz, lead independent director at Walter Investment. ‘We are fortunate that Mark selected Denmar to join the company five years ago, as he has worked side-by-side with Mark and has proven to be a critical player in the transformation of Walter Investment's business and the execution of its corporate vision.’
Dixon currently serves the company as executive vice president, chief investment officer and vice chairman of the board.
