Kris Barros has joined Waterstone Mortgage as vice president, compliance.
Barros has more than 20 years of experience in the mortgage lending and finance industries. He has held several senior-level compliance, regulatory and audit, and marketing positions throughout his career.
Most recently, he served as the marketing compliance manager for Guaranteed Rate in Chicago. He previously worked for Santander Bank, Embrace Home Loans, and East West Mortgage Company.
In his new role with Waterstone Mortgage, Barros will oversee the compliance management system. He will be focused on maintaining company compliance with all federal and state requirements, and will assist with the development, design, and implementation of policies and procedures required to maintain acceptable levels of regulatory compliance.
