Nathan Vlazny has joined national mortgage lender Waterstone Mortgage Corp. as vice president of underwriting.
Vlazny was previously underwriting manager for the South Atlantic Region of Academy Mortgage.
He has more than 15 years of experience in underwriting; 10 of those being in underwriting and operations leadership roles.
In his new role, Vlazny will be responsible for the management of all underwriting functions, developing process improvements, preparing for industry-related changes, and continuing to build positive, collaborative partnerships between Waterstone Mortgage branch and corporate operations team members.
In a release, Kerry Wirth chief operating officer for Waterstone Mortgage, says Vlazny’s professional experience “aligns perfectly with the opportunities he will be undertaking here, and his dedication to creating a loan process that fosters strong connections between our Waterstone Mortgage team members, homebuyers, and Realtor partners is second to none.”
In 2017, Waterstone Mortgage surpassed $2.6 billion in annual loan origination volume, the lender reports.
